Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Swift Auctions on the web and in our apps. By creating an account or placing a bid you agree to them. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Swift Auctions

Swift Auctions is a marketplace for vehicle businesses. You must be at least 18 and acting for a business. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password private, and for everything done with your account.

2. Listings

Sellers must own, or be authorised to sell, what they list, and must describe it honestly — including its condition, disclosures and photos. The sale light shown on a listing comes from the seller's disclosures.

3. Bidding and sales

• A bid is a binding offer to buy at that price.
• When an auction ends at or above the reserve, the highest bidder and the seller are committed to complete the sale.
• When an auction ends below the reserve, the seller may accept, counter or decline the highest bid. An accepted bid or accepted counter-offer is also binding.

4. Payment and handover

Swift Auctions does not take payment for vehicles. The buyer and seller arrange payment, paperwork and collection directly, and the seller marks the vehicle as delivered once it has been handed over.

5. Conduct

Do not place bids you do not intend to honour, bid on your own listings, misrepresent a vehicle, interfere with the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

6. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile, once any open deals are finished — see Delete your account.

7. Our role and liability

Swift Auctions provides the marketplace; it is not a party to the sale between dealers and does not inspect or guarantee vehicles. The service is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between users.
